• The thin membrane of an egg as a plant of life.

The egg, unlike mammals that are connected to the mother by an umbilical cord, can be seen as an incubator equipped with the necessary elements to give life to a chick. It is also the origin of life, nurturing the chick to the point where it can walk in just 21 days.

  • What is the Eggshell Membrane?

The eggshell membrane is a thin layer, just 0.07mm thick, found on the inside of an eggshell. This membrane gently envelops the developing chick, protecting it from external microorganisms and UV radiation. It plays a crucial role in guiding the growth and differentiation of around 10 billion cells, leading to the chick's birth.

  • Eggshell Membrane and
    Type III Collagen

To maintain youthfulness and overall health, Type III collagen is essential. In our search for sources of Type III collagen, we came across the 'eggshell membrane.

The reason a baby's skin is so soft and supple is that it contains a high amount of Type III collagen, also known as "baby collagen." However, Type III collagen decreases with age, cannot be obtained from food, and is not available in collagen supplements. Among the various types of collagen, we have focused on Type III collagen and have come across a unique source: the "eggshell membrane.

Scientifically Proven. Eggshell Membrane Boosts Type III Collagen.

Fibroblasts in the skin's dermis play a crucial role in producing essential extracellular matrix components for healthy skin, including Type III collagen, proteoglycans, MMP2, and hyaluronic acid. Research has shown that the eggshell membrane can activate fibroblasts and enhance the secretion of these components. This study has been published in Nikkei Health and academic journals like "Cell & Tissue Research," drawing attention to the benefits of eggshell membrane both domestically and internationally.

Research results on type III collagen expression

In a study by Dr. Atomi, fibroblasts were cultured in media with and without eggshell membrane. The results showed that the presence of eggshell membrane led to approximately 3.5 times higher expression of Type III collagen compared to the absence of eggshell membrane. A Treasure Trove of Natural Beauty Ingredients

1. Ideal Amino Acid Composition

Eggshell Membrane naturally contains an ideal composition of 18 amino acids, collagen, and hyaluronic acid.
Amino acids are very important when considering beauty and health. Eggshell membrane naturally contains 18 amino acids, which are difficult to obtain in a balanced way from a regular diet. Moreover, the amino acid composition of the eggshell membrane closely resembles that of human skin, making it highly compatible and well-absorbed when used in cosmetics.

(Calculated based on materials from raw materials suppliers.)
*Note: These amino acid composition values are not fixed and may vary.
2.The noteworthy point is the abundance of 'cystine.

Eggshell membrane contains a high amount of cystine, an amino acid essential for healthy skin.
The amount of cystine in eggshell membrane is overwhelming even when compared to foods known for high cystine content. In the body, cystine converts to L-cysteine, which is well-known for its inclusion in supplements marketed for dark spots and freckles. One of the remarkable benefits of eggshell membrane is the ability to naturally obtain such a high amount of the skin-beautifying component cystine.
